Scalp Micropigmentation for burn related hair loss

Experiencing a burn can be traumatic, especially when it leads to both hair loss and visible scarring. These constant reminders can take an emotional toll every time you look in the mirror.

Meet Simon Lane, our Senior Practitioner, who understands firsthand the challenges of hair loss resulting from a childhood accident-related burn involving boiling water. Simon’s life was profoundly transformed by Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), and now, exclusively with Brandwood Clinic, he is dedicated to helping our clients do the same. Whether your hair loss is due to a fire, burning, or scalding incident, Simon is committed to your recovery.

Burns can cause significant tissue damage from exposure to heat, flames, chemicals, or electricity.

At Brandwood Clinic, we possess the expertise to make a difference. Our world-leading SMP techniques, combined with our organic pigments, allow our practitioners to effectively camouflage scarring and imperfections, restoring your natural appearance, confidence, and self-esteem.

Types of burns

Burns can be categorised into three types based on their severity:

First degree burns

These affect only the outer layer of the skin.

Second degree burns

These damage both the outer layer and the layer beneath it.

Third degree burns

The most severe, these burns damage or destroy the deepest layer of skin, which includes the hair follicles, along with tissues below.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) emerges as a highly effective solution for concealing burns and scalds on the scalp that have resulted in the loss or destruction of hair follicles. Whether the damage is partial or extensive, SMP for burns has the ability to expertly conceal imperfections and restore a remarkably natural appearance to the scalp.
